Unlike secular education where a teacher instructs in what someone else has discovered, Buddhist teachers are sharing teachings they have received, studied, and personally validated; and they do so in a manner appropriate to their audience.
Every week, Lion’s Roar’s Spiritual Director, Lama Jinpa and resident teacher, Geshe Damchoe, teach from their own practice, education and experience. They provide guidance on our spiritual development and daily life that is both practical and profound.
Each second and fourth Saturday, Geshe Damchoe teaches on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment -the Middle Length Lam Rim of Lama Tsong Khapa, founder of our lineage. These essential teachings guide students through the entire Dharma path from entry all the way to the realization of the Mind of Enlightenment.
Every Sunday join Lama Jinpa and senior students as they explore various teachings such as the Bodhisattva’s path of the ten perfections. The ten perfections include daily activities such as generosity, patience and ethical discipline. Following the teaching we’ll enjoy a stretch break, a short meditation and a discussion period.
On the second and fourth Mondays Lama Jinpa teaches meditation and practice topics which support, broaden and enrich the practitioner’s home practice and education.
