“Poetic Words,”  Kavitva is the Sanskrit work for poetic. Poetry has been used in the Buddhist tradition as way to teach, inspire, and light the way along the path for thousands of years. This is tradition we wish to encourage and continue.  There’s no requirement that the poetry be Buddhist in nature, however all submissions will be screened and are at the sole (possibly arbitrary and capricious) discretion of the Poetry Committee, headed by Lama Yeshe Jinpa.  All decisions are final and works submitted will not be returned.  All members of the Lion’s Roar Dharma Center sangha are welcome to submit poems. At this time we cannot accept submissions from the broader community. Please email for information or to submit a poem.
