Unlike secular education where a teacher instructs in what someone else has discovered, Buddhist teachers are sharing teachings they have received, studied, and personally validated; and they do so in a manner appropriate to their audience.
Every week, Lion’s Roar’s Spiritual Director, Lama Jinpa and resident teacher, Geshe Damchoe, teach from their own practice, education and experience. They provide guidance on our spiritual development and daily life that is both practical and profound.
On the first and third Saturdays, Geshe Damchoe teaches on the classic Guide to The Bodhisattva Way of Life by Master Shantideva, probably the most beloved text in all of Tibetan Buddhism.
Every Sunday join Lama Jinpa and senior students as they explore various teachings such as the Bodhisattva’s path of the ten perfections, the daily activities such as generosity, patience and ethical discipline, and others which fill our lives with meaning, joy and energy. Following the teaching we’ll enjoy a stretch break, a short meditation and a discussion period.
On the second and fourth Mondays Lama Jinpa teaches meditation and practice topics which support, broaden and enrich the practitioner’s home practice and education.
