The purpose of the Men’s Dharma Group is to provide a forum for men to gather, explore new avenues of relating to their lives, how to get ‘unstuck’ and open to their unlimited potential to live in a harsh world as fully compassionate-hearted individuals. The overall focus of the Men’s Group is dharma discussions and meditation but we are open to discussing any topic. The group is open to both Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike.
Our meetings are 1 1/2 hours long. We begin with introductory prayers common to all of our Center’s programs. Then, we may do a short five minute or so meditation or directly go into discussion and sharing. The discussion may be based on a particular topic or on what anyone wants to talk about. After the discussion, we may meditate and/or do mantra recitation, for five to 15 minutes. We end with a brief dedication requesting that the merit of the meeting benefit others. You will leave the meeting with a peaceful, open heart and mind.
