Seekers and Visitors
People who attend lectures, meditations, retreats and are investigating the role of Buddhist practice in their lives.
People who are actively exploring the Buddhist path and want to support the Lama and the Sangha (community). They contribute to the dana (generosity) bowl, may volunteer to help out with Temple activities and participate in Sangha activities.
People who have committed to Buddhist practice and have completed the Refuge Ceremony. When a person ‘takes Refuge’ they commit to being a Buddhist and to follow certain modes of ethical and moral conduct: no lying, stealing, killing, sexual misconduct and no intoxicants. Full members attend services as often as possible and volunteer service to the Temple as well as make a regular monthly dana pledge. There is a personal teacher/student relationship with the Lama.
